Also known as the “Land Of God’s” means “Devbhumi” in Hindi language. This place is a hot-spot for Hindu Pilgrimages. Famous for its “Char Dham Yatra” which means “Journey to the Four Centers”. People of Hindu religion who seek penance, come to these places and surrender themselves to the greatest form of energy. Hindus believe to cleanse their soul, get rid of all their sins in life and find heaven by journeying to these four centers at least once in life, Badrinath for Lord Vishnu, Kedarnath for Lord Shiva, Gangotri for origin of the river Ganges or also called the godess Ganga and Yamnotri the origin of the river Yamuna, the place of confluence for Ganges & Yamunotri is a place called Rishikesh where a third river with them called Saraswati (also called the godess Saraswati), meet and creates one more pilgrimage for Hindus, also where the world known “Kumbha” festival is held once after every thirteen years, is “Haridwar” (door to ‘Hari’, one of the names to lord Vishnu).
